Meet Ben McIntyre
Hey, I’m the owner of Mittagong Mini Excavator Hire. Born and raised right here in the Southern Highlands, I've been serving our community for over 25 years. My journey began with an apprenticeship in plumbing, leading me into the exciting world of the civil construction industry.
My Journey
Over the years, I've worked on a multitude of projects – from laying large-scale pipework for new residential subdivisions, commercial sites, highways, to airport expansion works. I have an extensive background in operating various plants and equipment, including excavators, bobcats, dump trucks, and more.
In a bid to bring my skills back to our community, I shifted gears and spent a decade in the quarry industry, producing garden mixes, turf underlays, and concrete sands. I also earned a diploma in surface extraction operations and successfully produced bulk materials to some of the largest jobs in the state, always meeting strict specifications and timelines.
